There are many ways: The concept of Anitya Bodh-impermanence (aniccha) in Buddhism is a fundamental doctrine that signifies the transient and ever-changing nature of all phenomena. This principle holds that everything in existence—whether material objects, thoughts, or experiences—is subject to change, decay, and eventual dissolution. Clinging to temporary states or possessions leads to suffering (dukkha), as individuals mistakenly invest emotional energy in what is inherently unstable. By deeply understanding impermanence, one cultivates detachment and equanimity, which are vital for being peaceful and happy. Embracing impermanence fosters wisdom to alleviate suffering through insightful realization.More in the book:https://amzn.in/d/9nBUc2X“May all beings have happy minds.” —The Buddha

The year was 2002, and I had just written the CAT and MAT entrance exams, startedreceiving call letters from various B-schools. However, I faced a significant challenge: I wasn't confident that I would succeed in the group discussions and interviews. Coming from a small town my English-speaking skills were shaky. For two months, my friends and I who were in the same boat practiced diligently group discussions and mock interviews every day. When I came to Alliance for the interview, I got through only because of these practice sessions. Most of my answers were scripted. They say your environment shapes you. For me, this has been profoundly true.My two years at Alliance were an incredible journey of self-discovery and learning. We had many guest faculties from the industry, and those interactions sparked a desire in me to become like them. It was in 2003 that I first heard about Tony Robbins from Uma Sreedhar Ma'am, which led me to explore NLP and other self-help books and tools. Life was never the same afterwards.Three people influenced me immensely in taking this HR career path:1.Mahalingam (Mali Sir), the former Head of HR at Symphony Software.2.Manab Bose, the former Director-HR at Colgate Palmolive and founder of Parikrama Foundation.3.Selvam George, the former Head of L&D at 3M.Their guidance and inspiration were crucial in shaping my professional journey. Years later, when I was at Infosys, I was the unit anchor ofSPARKprogram. Every week, we invited thousands of students from different colleges, and for three years, every Saturday, I eagerly delivered these motivational sessions. I saw myself in those students and was driven by a desire to pass on the inspiration and knowledge I had received.Life has come full circle. From being a student struggling with English and public speaking to becoming a guest faculty and public speaker, I have realized that leadership is not about a title; it's about the impact you create. Receiving this award is a great motivator to do more, give more, and inspire others to do the same.Andsomething truly special about this award is that it is the first award I have received in front of my kids!Thank you, Alliance University, for this incredible honour.
