"And ya' sound thrilled!" He sarcastically replied.

Pearson popped open two bottles and handed them to Arthur and Charles, "I'd give you one of these kidto ease the pain, but your mother would kill me. But here boys, you earned it."

Gracie hummed in amusem*nt, "I appreciate it, Mr Pearson." Arthur brought the bottle to his lips and then grimaced a bit when he tasted it, "Jesus, what is that?"

"Navy rum, sir. It's the only thing, the only thing. Keeps you sane, it does." Pearson chuckled, taking the bottles from the two men and taking them for himself. He then looked at Gracie with a glint of mischief in his eyes, "Here kid, take a sip. I wanna see how red your face can get. Don't tell your mother."

Gracie raised her brows at the offer, but what position was she in to decline such a generous offer? She took the bottle from Pearson, looking up at Arthur for a second and then taking a sip after he hesitantly nodded. Although, she immediately regretted it as a little bit of the harsh substance travelled down her throat. Grimacing, she handed it back to Pearson, who laughed at her reaction.

"That's disgustin'."

Arthur Morgan nodded his head as he watched the man sip the rum with ease, "Seems to have done a treat on him." He then looked at Charles, "You go rest that hand."

The girl widened her eyes at Charles' bandaged hand, "What happened? Are you okay?"

Charles smiled at her concern, but shrugged it off, "I'm fine, don't worry about me. It'll be fine in a few days."

Pearson put the gross bottle of rum on the table and looked down at the deer on the ground. "You mind helping me with the skinning, Mr. Morgan? It's easier if we do it together."

"Do I get to skin you?" Arthur asked simply.

"You're always one with the jokes, aren't you? Come on." Pearson handed him a knife before cutting into the deer on the table. "I'll get you some stew in a second, Miss Roberts." Charles bid his goodbyes to the three, as it wasn't the job for a man with a burned hand.

Arthur bent down with a slight grunt near his deer that he flopped on the floor, "Better be quick, Pearson. She needs to feed the beast." Gracie just slapped his arm in response, but it was a little funny. "C'mere girl, wanna learn how to skin?"

"Sure!" She nodded without hesitation, moving her blanket to stretch her arms after bending down onto her knees next to Arthur. He shoved the knife into the stomach of the deer and Gracie watched his actions closely. He allowed her to try and cut a bit of the skin too from one end of the stomach and to the other, but it was quite tough so he had to help her out a tiny bit. Either way, half of the skin was off already. Arthur then cut parts underneath and then lifted up the deer a little bit for Gracie to be able to pull the skin from underneath it.

Pearson patted the girl's shoulder with a smile, "Not too bad, Miss Roberts. You're a natural!" Arthur picked up the deer to hang it upside down from the rack against the wall as Gracie rolled up the skin life a blanket, "They always said you were a butcher, Mr Morgan. You know, you could trade these or sell these in pretty much any town if you're looking to make a legitimate bit of money, of course."

Arthur Morgan didn't seem interested in the idea at first, "Right now, I'm just looking to get off this mountain alive."

"Well, if you catch anything else, you bring it to me. You too, Miss Roberts!" The man joked to the teen, as if she was ever allowed to leave camp on her own to hunt.

Gracie just hummed in amusem*nt before perking up, "Can I get that stew now?" She asked since it was the real reason she had come over here anyway.

The man nodded with raised brows as he had just remembered, "Ah yes! Of course!" Pearson rushed over to the pot. Gracie nodded bye to Arthur, who dipped his hat a bit before walking away to the cabin where John was held in. The cook came over a few seconds later with a plate and spoon, "Here you go, hope he enjoys. It won't taste as good without the meat though."
